Let's Go Do LSD With The Beatles

Dear Comedy Central,

Double standard, much?

Sincerely,
Loyal Viewer

Tommy Boy is my favorite movie of all time. It's a movie that I have been quoting since the 7th grade. One of    my favorites is when Tommy and Richard disguise themselves as flight attendants in order to board an overbooked plane to Chicago, and they provide the travelers with a hilarious safety demonstration and David Spade chokes when describing how to buckle one's seatbelt in the event of an emergency and says,

"hey, know what? If you guys don't know how to use a seat belt, just ring your call button, and Tommy will come back there and hit you over the head with a tack hammer because you are a retard."

Tommy Boy censored out the word 'retarded'.

But this afternoon I was watching Walk Hard - The Dewey Cox Story and they did not censor numerous pictures of hands giving the middle finger.

That Woman Might Not Be A Bitch At All

Bitchy Resting Face

This is my new favorite video on YouTube...

The Lone Pirate Ranger?

Thoughts about Things...quick rants!

IS DISNEY GETTING LAZY? Am I having double vision or are these movie posters nearly identical?

Johnny Depp as 'Tonto' in Disney's The Lone Ranger...

...and Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow in Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean...

Disney needs a new movie poster designer.

Is it just me? Or does the Lone Ranger look a whole lot like Jack Sparrow with colorful feathers and beaded jewelry? I mean, come on Tonto.  Is there a costume shortage in Hollywood?! Was the promotions department on vacation? Is Disney getting lazy? Or pompous? Or stupid? I don't know the answer. But I do know that I get really irritated for some reason every time I see an advertisement for the new Lone Ranger movie. I love Johnny Depp, and totally appreciate his unique brand of weirdness and the eclectic portrayal of his characters.........but...I think this is kind of ridiculous. You can't just take an existing poster for one movie, update the title and throw in some feathers and expect no one to notice. Dude, hire a new graphic designer.

I found both of these movie poster images with a quick Google Search. Using the awesome (and FREE) photo editing website, Pixlr.com, I applied a few filters to adjust the color and effect of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie poster...and then..TA DA!
